I just tried out the new Feedexa online RSS reader.

It’s fairly slick, but has one big feature missing: a “Mark All As Read” command. There’s one for each individual feed, but not a global one. In some user scenarios this is a “nice to have feature”, but for a new entrant into a market that is seeking to bring people over to their service from an existing one; it’s an absolute necessity.

Migration Steps:

1. Mark all items as read in Bloglines
2. Export OPML from Bloglines
3. Import OPML to Feedexa
4. Mark all items as read in one easy click or give up and use something else if you have to spend an hour slogging through each individual feed marking items as read to even get started.

Heard back from the Feedexa guys and they’ve added a global “Mark All as Read”!
