Gizmodo has a post up called: Three Stylish PCs Mac-Haters Can Brag About.
I’m an equal opportunity OS user (with OSX, Windows and Linux machines strewn liberally throughout my life), but you have got to be kidding me. The three designs are:
- An Asus U1 laptop, indistinguishable from a Lenovo, HP or Dell at arms length and lacking a Core 2 Duo
- Sony’s “TP1″. That’s correct, they named a white cylinder of a machine “Toilet Paper One”.
- Alienware’s Hanger 18 has some impressive specs (4 built in TV tuners! and 1.5 TB of storage), however someone’s kid brother ripped the head off of one of their Alien Autopsy Action Figures “Real Acid for Blood!!”, and hot glued it to the front of the damn thing.
What’s particularly frustrating is how close all of these products come to greatness only to stumble and fall on the details.
