Leander Kahney (Mr. Cult of Mac) has put forth the notion that the iPod will become the new CD as a result of Apple, Inc and Apple Music’s settlement. He envisions a world where special editions iPods can come pre-loaded with music and movies (hey! maybe they’ll do a U2 One).

This is the kind of legal maneuvering that always makes my brain hurt as it requires such squinty vision to make it fit with any normal persons view of reality. Apple, Inc. has obviously been distributing music for years. Dear lord, they’re the 4th largest music retailer in the US and it’s only now that they’ve signed this agreement that they’re “able” to distribute music.

I dare you to make less sense Mr. Leander Kahney.
