In addition to Muji (the monochrome Ikea store), it now appears there is a second Japanese establishment that I wish was within walking distance: Menza.
Cool Hunting has the whole scoop, it’s a hyper express combo of a Hair Cuttery, Dry Cleaners, and energy bar (with cheerleaders). I’m trying to mentally calculate the various macroeconomic effects on our respective economies of having cheerleaders whoop it up while you chug a can of Red Bull versus the desultory singing that accompanies the 5000 calorie waffle choco cone and banana “mix in” at the local ColdStone Creamery.
Someone in the commerce department should just consider opening Menza’s all across the US to jumpstart productivity:
- Hair cuts in 8 minutes
- Suite pressed in 10 minutes
- Eye brow trim for $2
My god, they’d put the odd collection of recessive traits that cut my hair out of business in a month.
